Title Nine Fit Fest 2016

For the second year in a row, Title Nine was nice enough to invite me to their annual Fit Fest for a fitting and free sports bra.  Last year I was in the middle of breastfeeding, you can read here about how they helped me find something comfortable for a new mom.  My body is in a much different place this year and this time around I had to bring my kiddo along to the fitting.  So things were a little crazy.

To start off, they were so helpful when it came to Brigitte.  My first inclination is to rush through the fitting, but they reassured me the entire time, helped me narrow my choices and even brought a big bucket of toys into the fitting room.  She was happy as a clam while I worked up a sweat trying on bras.  (Some of them are tough to get on!!) They also told me that most stores have toys and are prepared for kids, so no need to fear fellow Moms.  Title Nine has your back.

Over the last couple years, I’ve developed a huge respect for this company.  It’s still owned by the original woman who founded it.  And more than most it really seems to support women and their bodies, no matter what the size and shape.  Did you know that the average bra size is 36C, while most sports bras are designed for an A or B cup?  That’s messed up!   Title Nine has all sizes, including D and larger.  

This year I had two big differences.  I’m no longer breastfeeding and I’m down a cup size.  Gasp!!! Back to my pre-pregnancy boobs.  {Sad face}  They quickly got me in the correct size and we started narrowing bras down.  I told them about my two main activities: volleyball and running.  So they found something to help with the bounce and gave me about 4 bras to try out.  The first, a teal blue number, was the winner! The others either didn’t fit or I found too difficult to get on and off.  It’s a pretty classic sports bra, but it works great, feels good and I love the color.

While I highly suggest this be your first stop for sports bra shopping, don’t miss their other clothing.  They have all kinds of active wear.  The swimsuits are really catching my eye this year, along with some of the dresses.  And as always, the pants and shorts for hiking are cute and practical.
